Bautista Stops Barrera in Four; Condes, Jaca, Melindo Win

Waterfront Cebu City Hotel, Cebu, Philippines - Featherweight contender Rey "'Boom Boom" Bautista (29-2, 22KOs) stopped Alejandro Barrera (20-4, 13KOs) in a four round brawl. The ref called a halt to the action in the fourth after Barrera's left eyelid suffered a nasty cut, from a punch.

Former minimumweight champion Florante Condes (24-5, 20KOs) won an easy eight round decision over Sofyan Effindi (10-9). Condes got credited with a knockdown in the sixth and all three judges had it 80-71.

Lightweight/junior welterweight contender Jimrex Jaca (31-6, 16KOs) stopped Pipino Cuevas Jr. (14-6) in the first round after a strong left hand.

Hot flyweight prospect Milan Melindo (22-0, 7KOs) stopped Jin-Man Jeon (13-4) of Korea in two rounds of action.
