| Barrett vs Tua Trilogy Heads To New Zealand, March 31
|
|
By Ryan Burton Heavyweight Monte Barrett (35-9-2, 20KOs) advised BoxingScene.com that he has reached an agreement to face David Tua (52-4-2, 43KOs) for a third time. The fight will take place in New Zealand next March with the 31st being the most likely date. Barrett defeated Tua via unanimous decision this past August and battled the fighter of Samoan descent to a controversial draw in 2010. He went on to say that he thinks a second victory over Tua will earn him a title shot. Hopefully third time's a charm for Tua. Once he gets past Barrett he can focus his sights on bigger and better competition - say Audley Harrison, Tye Fields or Chauncey Weliver... |

They've had two really entertaining fights so far, why complain? Monte is a good dude and i'm fine with hmi getting a few more paydays. Dude deserves it for
1) Hilarious KO of the ultimate hypejob Tye Field
2) Getting thrown around the ring like dead chicken against Valuev |
