Badou Jack Aims To Impress on ShoBox, Eyes 6/14 Return

By Ryan Burton

Badou Jack "The Ripper" (10-0) faces Alexander Brand (17-0) tonight at the Texas Station Casino in Las Vegas, NV.  The Stockholm, Sweden native is excited about making his debut on Showtime's prospect based ShoBox series.

"It feels great and I want to thank them for this opportunity," Jack told BoxingScene.com.

The 35-year old Brand sports an impressive record and has considerably more experience than his opponent.  Jack said that doesn't bother him and gives the Colombian credit for agreeing to the fight.

"He seems like a strong guy. I give him a lot of props for taking this fight against me but his 0 has got to go," Badou told BoxingScene.com.

Assuming he gets the win and comes out of the fight injury free, Badou is scheduled to return to the ring on June 14th in New York on his promoter Lou DiBella's next installment of his popular Broadway Boxing series.

Badou now resides in Las Vegas and said that he hopes to impress the fans tonight.

"I'm looking forward to the fight and whatever my opponent is bringing. I hope he comes to fight so we can give the fans a good fight."
