Boxer and designer Aziza Oubaita recently opened her first shop which sells fight sports clothes, at the gates “du marais” in the 3rd district of Paris. Those who appeared include French WBA interim-champion at welterweight, Souleymane Mbaye, and world champion Vincent Parisi, as well as other fighters who came to drink the cup of friendship on the occasion of this event.

During a training session in Levallois, we met up with Antonin Decarie, the WBA co-challenger in the super-welterweight division, who faces Souleymane Mbaye (French) for the WBA interim title on May 28 at Palais des Sport Marcel Cerdan in Levallois-Perret, Hauts-de-Seine, France. The Québécois (French canadian) is sure of himself and has no doubts about winning; he confided his certainty in us during a training session.
According to our sources, a fight between the Kazakh fighter Gennady Golovkin and the Franco-Camerounese puncher Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam seems to be more and more in Golovkin’s plans. As we wrote last week on our website, Mouss Ouicher was surprised that his boxer was not mentioned as a possible opponent after the withdrawal of the Australian Anthony Mundine from their ordered clash for the vacant WBA middleweight title.
The official challenger for the WBA middleweight title, Gennady Golovkin (18-0, 15KOs)declared recently, in an interview with a Kazakh newspaper, that the former WBA supermiddleweight champion Anthony Mundine hadn’t signed a contract to face him, and Golovkin then declared that his team was in negotiations with four other boxers from the WBA's top 10, including “El Phenomeno" Hassan N’dam Ndjikam (23-0, 16KOs).
The WBC is ordering a final elimination fight between the two highest available contenders in the light welterweight division, Ali Chebah (33-1, 26 KO) of France and Ajose Olusegun (28-0, 14 KO) of Nigeria, to determine the mandatory challenger in the light welterweight division to champion Devon Alexander. The free negotiations period begins today and if there is no agreement between the two parties, a purse offer will be held on Friday, May 30, 2010, at the WBC Executive Offices in Mexico City.
