Undefeated WBA interim champion Austin Trout (26-0, 14KOs) is still reveling in his recent dominant victory over former three-division champion Miguel Cotto. Trout spoke to us on BoxingScene.com's official audio show The Boxing Lab, about his post fight comments in which he called out WBC junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

"He was gone before I spoke so he didn't hear me. He was out of the building before I left the ring," Trout said as he admitted to being frustrated by Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer saying that a fight between Alvarez and Cotto is still a strong possibility despite the fact that Cotto lost by a wide margin on the judge's scorecards.

"It is upsetting to be honest. Who else do I need to beat? What else do I need to do?"

If a fight against Alvarez can't be finalized, Trout will still have many options.  The 154-pound weight division is one of the deepest in the sport.

"I'm down to fight them all (in his division). (Alfredo) Angulo, (James) Kirkland, any of them on that damn list that didn't include me (laughing)," Trout said while pointing out the list that HBO aired on a recent broadcast that included the top fighters of the division but curiously omitted him.
