Augustus Replaces Coleman, To Face Veron Paris on 1/29

BoxingScene.com has been advised that veteran Emanuel Augustus (38-33) will step in for the injured Tim Coleman (18-1-1) to face Detroit's undefeated Vernon Paris (23-0) on January 29th in Pontiac, MI on the undercard of the Tim Bradley versus Devon Alexander junior welterweight super fight. The fight will be at a catchweight of 143 pounds.

Coleman pulled out of the fight after dislocating his shoulder in training.

Augustus who has been on the wrong end of many questionable decisions told BoxingScene - "Here we go again. Last minute in the other guys hometown. That's alright though. I am ready this time.  Vernon Paris drew the short straw."

Augustus is trying to snap a 4 fight losing streak.
