Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum, says Manny Pacquiao is always read to trade punches with Mexican rival Juan Manuel Marquez. The two fighters have already faced each other four times. A draw in their 2004 meeting and then Pacquiao (55-5-2, 38KOs) winning controversial decisions in 2008 and 2011. Marquez (55-7-1, 40KOs) got his revenge in 2012, with a one-punch knockout of Pacquiao.
On May 17th, Marquez will return to the ring against Mike Alvarado, while Pacquiao challenges WBO welterweight champion Timothy Bradley in a rematch on April 12th.
Arum has set it where the winners of the two fights will face each other later in the year.
"The winner of Pacquiao-Bradley will go against the winner of the Marquez-Alvarado. I remember that Jake [LaMotta] and Ray Robinson fought over five times, but whatever, I'd make a new Pacquiao-Marquez fight. Pacquiao is always ready to fight Marquez and he already said 'get me a fifth fight,'" Arum said.
