Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum would love to make a fight between Lucas Matthysse (37-3, 34KOs) and Brandon Rios (33-2-1, 24KOs).

Matthysse came back a few weeks ago in Verona to to win one hell of a fight with equally dangerous Ruslan Provodnikov over twelve rounds. Rios was in action back in January, when he demolished Mike Alvarado in three one-sided rounds.

Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya is interested in Rios-Matthysse, and Arum likes the fight as well.

"I love that fight. Oscar knows what makes a good fight. I think Rios-Matthysse would be a sensational, sensational fight," Arum said via Fight Hub.

The weight class would be a big question? Rios is at welterweight and Matthysse fights at 140-pounds and has yet to express a desire to move up in weight in the near future.

The fight De La Hoya really wants is a battle between Matthyssse and eight division world champion Manny Pacquiao.

Arum was far less enthusiastic about that match.

"That's not going to happen," Arum said.
