As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum is flying out next week to the Philippines for a meeting with WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao. The two of them plan to discuss Pacquiao's options for his next fight. The four options include - Juan Manuel Marquez, Timothy Bradley, Miguel Cotto and Lamont Peterson.

Of course, the best fight for Pacquiao would be one with Floyd Mayweather Jr. But he's going to jail Friday for at least two months, perhaps three if he doesn't get time knocked off for good behavior. Last month Mayweather was sentenced to 90 days in the Clark County Detention Center, after pleading guilty to a charge of domestic abuse.

If Mayweather were to get out in early March after just two months, he could conceivably fight in June. But as a reporter from BoxingScene.com began to ask Arum about perhaps waiting for Mayweather instead of fighting one of the aforementioned four, he cut the reporter off at the pass.

"It's not an option," Arum said. "Manny is going to fight in May or June and if Floyd is available and Manny is successful, we'll fight Floyd in November. We are not going to operate Manny's career on what if, what if, what if. That doesn't make any business sense."

as long as Bob exists, there's always lies in boxing. I can't even call Bob a piece of sh1t, coz that would be using the friendliest euphemism for what he actually is. It would be elevating Bob to the status of a piece of sh1t. In fact, if I were to demean a piece of **** who has done something r...

Who is Arum fooling, he will pay off Manny's next opponent to tank it or payoff the judges so Manny wont lose. Arum will not jeopardize a Floyd Mayweather vs Miss pacman payday.

The only guy I'd bother seeing out of those guys would be JMM, because we've seen and know that, stylistically, it's going to be a hell of a fight AGAIN! Other than that, Bradley and Peterson? Eh. As far as Cotto? I guess if he can make 147? But if he REALLY wants to fight Cotto then go to 154 an...

[QUOTE=PrinceCharlez]This is what I don't get or understand...Floyd says he wants to fight in may & regardless of him going to jail he hasn't stated that may, June etc are out the question. Bon said Floyd was bluffing & that he actually wanted to fight Erik in may not manny. Then he said Floyd ca...
