Arum Calls For a Fourth Pacquiao-Marquez Showdown

By Ryan Burton

MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada - At the post fight press conference following Manny Pacquiao's twelve round majority decision victory over Juan Manuel Marquez in the third installment of their rivalry, Top Rank's CEO, Bob Arum, called for an immediate fourth fight between the two superstars.

"I do fights in Mexico. There are a lot of angry Mexicans out there. I want a fourth fight. I want to be safe when I go to Mexico," said a smiling Arum.

The Top Rank CEO said that he had Pacquiao winning the fight but said that it was very close.

"I had Manny winning a close decision but I'm his promoter so my opinion doesn't count," said Arum.

Arum reiterated that he thinks an immediate fourth fight is in order. He said that eventually a fight between the two fighters will end with a definitive victor.

"My advice to all of the parties involved is for an immediate rematch.  It was a great fight."

Styles make fights. I know Mayweather is a different fighter than Marquez, but he is better in every category. Those who say Pacquiao will throw 100+ a round against Mayweather are crazy because look what happened against Marquez and Mosley…
A fourth fight would be good after Pac fights Mayweather first.
I kind a agree.
Neither man was able to hurt the other significantly. Most rounds were very tight and could have gone either way SO those who are saying it's a clear win for Marquez OR the Marquez dominated the fight are just PLAIN…
