Top Rank’s CEO Bob Arum has promoted the best of the best throughout the years.

Recently, Arum has promoted two of the most decorated amateurs of all time in Guillermo Rigondeaux and now Vasyl Lomachenko - with each man winning two Olympic gold medals.

Lomachenko (5-1, 3 KOs) returns this Saturday night, attempting to capture his second divisional title when he faces WBO super featherweight world champion Roman ‘Rocky’ Martinez of Puerto Rico at The Theatre at Madison Square Garden on the eve of the National Puerto Rican Day Parade. Many have compared the styles of the two great amateurs.

Rigondeaux’s style was not appealing to HBO and Arum even famously was quoting as saying Rigondeaux’s style made the executives of HBO ‘throw up’.

So when the question was posed if he would have the same issue with Lomachenko, Arum responded by saying that he realizes the talented Ukrainian may never become a crossover star on pay-per-view in the United States, but he's confident the boxer will finish up his career with Hall of Fame credentials.

“Rigondeaux is a major talent. Would it denigrate Vasyl to compare him to Rigondeaux? His style may never resonate with fans but his resume already speaks volumes. His body of work means he’s a great fighter. I don’t know if I can make him into a pay per view star and he understands that. My job at the end of this is to make sure he finishes his career as a great fighter,” Arum said.
