Former two division world champion Zab Judah was impressed by Danny Garcia's twelve round unanimous decision victory over Lucas Matthysse (34-3, 32KOs) on September 14th. Judah won a close twelve round split decision victory over Matthysse in 2010, but then challenged Garcia (27-0, 16KOs) for his WBC/WBA 140-pound titles in April and lost a close twelve round decision.
Judah moves back to the welterweight division to face Brooklyn rival Paulie Malignaggi on December 7th at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
"I thought he fought very smart. I fought Matthysse and I know that he's a very strong, heavy handed puncher. I thought Danny fought a perfect fight, he fought a very smart fight. He used his brains. People thought that he would run in there and trade out with Matthysse.....he didn't. Both of these guys had mutual respect for each other's power. And things didn't really kick off until late," Judah said.
