Gennady Golovkin-Marco Antonio Rubio is the main event Saturday, but the best fight of the night figures to be the HBO co-feature.
Nonito Donaire and NIcholas Walters can both crack, sporting a combined 72 percent knockout ratio. Donaire appears to be on the downside, struggling with Vic Darchinyan last year before stopping him in the ninth? Walters, he made easy work of Vic, blasting him out in Round 5 this year in a KO of the Year Candidate.
Walters (24-0, 20 KOs) is confident he can do the same to Donaire (33-2, 21 KOs).
"If Donaire isn't right, he's going to get knocked out," Walters said at a Wednesday media workout. "Maybe five rounds, maybe less. Not sure yet."
"But you know what? Donaire stepped up and took this fight. He didn't have to. For that, I respect him for getting in the ring with me."
