Polish heavyweight giant Mariusz Wach (27-0, 15KOs) believes size will matter when he takes on WBO/WBA/IBO/IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko (58-3, 51KOs) on November 10th at the O2 World Arena in Hamburg.
"The fact that I'm taller will be a big advantage for me, but a bigger advantage for me is that I'm confident and that will win me the fight. I need to break the jab, eliminate the punches that he throws with the left hand," Wach told BoxingScene.com.
Wach, near 6'8, is the first boxer who is actually taller and physically bigger than Wladimir. He wants to establish himself in the first round.
"It's important to be confident and get his respect. Most of the opponents, the previous opponents of Klitschko, lost the fight before they even stepped in the ring. They lost the ring in the locker room. It's very important to get his respect," Wach said.
Above everything, Wach is worried about winning a decision in Germany. He wants to knock Klitschko out before the distance. Wach doesn't see any other option for victory.
"It has to be a knockout. I'm worried about about winning the fight by decision. I have to be the best that I can and knock Wladimir out," Wach said.
