Vijender Singh has been handed his next fight date.
The Indian sensation, who campaigns at middleweight, is set for an outing at Manchester Arena, live on BoxNation.
Singh ousted firefighter Dean Gillen inside a round at the National Stadium in Dublin on Saturday and is set to feature on December 19 on the undercard of Andy Lee’s WBO middleweight title defence against number one challenger Billy Joe Saunders.
Singh made a similar impact on his debut last month as he took just three of a scheduled four rounds to get rid of Kent’s Sonny Whiting.
And now, the 30-year-old will get a chance to showcase his talent on a card on which Liam Smith will make the first defence of his WBO super welterweight title against Jimmy Kelly due to be confirmed tomorrow.
Elsewhere on the bill, there is a star-studded undercard, featuring the likes of Jack Catterall, Luke Blackledge, Derry Mathews and Paul Butler, the former IBF boss at bantamweight, to support the two world title clashes.
