Vijender Singh cruised to his sixth straight victory in the paid ranks.
The Indian sensation, who has looked flawless since making his debut last October, stopped Polish opposition, exclusively live on BoxNation.
Singh (6-0, 6 KOs) took just three rounds to end the lacklustre challenge of Andrzej Soldra, as part of the undercard to Jack Catterall’s WBO Inter-Continental super-lightweight title defence against Joe Hughes at the Premier Suite at Bolton Wanderers’ Macron Stadium.
In beating the 30-year-old, New Delhi’s Singh sets up a homecoming on July 16, details of which are yet to be confirmed. A championship is expected to be on the line in India on that aforementioned date at Singh’s preferred weight of 11st 6lbs.
He was in action just 13 days ago, at London’s Copper Box Arena, as part of the undercard to Hughie Fury’s WBO Inter-Continental heavyweight title victory over Fred Kassi on April 30, but there didn’t seem to be any sign of fatigue from Singh, who nearly had his man out of there in the opener.
Soldra (now 12-4-1, 5 KOs), however, stood up to the heavy-handed Singh and saw out the first round.
But the Francis Warren-promoted fighter, who those at Queensberry Promotions are hoping will get a title fight in his next outing in his home country, began showing his dominance in the second round, stamping his authority throughout before taking his opponent out in the third.
Earlier in the card, Jack Flatley moved to 3-0 and claimed his first stoppage as he got rid of vastly overmatched Bulgarian Valentin Stoychev, who slips to 7-22-4 (3 KOs) in defeat, in double-quick time, flooring his opponent.
Stoychev failed to beat the count of the referee and the end was called with just seven seconds remaining in the first stanza.
Meanwhile, Dayle Coyne (5-0, 1 KO) outpointed Christian Hoskin Gomez (4-13-2, 1 KO) over four rounds and Zelfa Barrett moved into double figures –– and is now 10-0 (4 KOs) ––with a two-round ending of Chris Adaway, who slips to 4-15-2.
And Gary Sweeney got his pro career off to a flyer with a one-round stoppage over Mario Lakatos (8-8, 4 KOs) in the first fight of the night.
