WBC super flyweight champion Tomas "Gusano" Rojas (36-12-1, 24KOs) has denied the reports circulating in Mexico that he reached a deal to face #11 ranked Suriyan Sor Rungvisai (18-5-1, 7KOs) on August 23 in the Valley of River Mun in Srisaket, Thailand. The information, which originated from Sor Rungvisai's promoter, was called "false information" by Rojas. BoxingScene.com had recently reported that Rojas was being poised for a September 3 return in Mexico, but nothing has been finalized.
