LOS ANGELES --- Bermane Stiverne is tired of hearing Chris Arreola talk about all the changes he's made to his camp and how he has gotten serious about his training since their first fight in April 2013.
Stiverne said he will be victorious once again when he meets Arreola in a rematch or the vacant WBC heavyweight title on Saturday at USC's Galen Center on ESPN.
"This is a knockout for me," Stiverne said. "Chris can talk all he want and use all the excuses he want to use, show up in the best shape of his life and it won't matter. That won't help him. Nothing will help him."
Stiverne said it's too late for Arreola to start buckling down and training properly.
"That don't matter," Stiverne said. "I told the fans everyone should show up. That's not gonna help him. At this level, if you think that's when you are gonna train to be in shape, it's too late."
Does he expect a different Arreoal for the rematch?
"I don't care what I see," Stiverne said. "I don't care which Chris is in the ring. Chris ain't going nowhere. I don't have to look for him.
"Whatever Chris has, I have double. Whatever Chris can do, I can do better. So at this point it's not about if he wants to use excuses about him being shape now and stuff like that. You can run with that but that doesn't matter."
Arreola made a lot of adjustments to his camp after the loss to Stiverne.
"I made no adjustment," Stiverne said. "What I did in the camp is I did it better than the first one. Why change? Chris is a one-way fighter. What is he going to bring more pressure, more punches? That's not going to happen. When he get cracked, we'll find out what he made of, and he will get cracked. That's for sure.
"Like I said, I'm tired of talking. The thing that's unbelievable is every time he goes and --- excuse my French --- he f------ up, he goes and has a story and everyone believe him. Everyone believe him. He lost the fight because his nose was broken. What? He crossed the street and a car hit him when he came to fight me? Is that what happened? He fought (Vitali) Klitschko and Klitschko whupped him. I mean, as far as I'm concerned I whupped him more than Klitschko whupped him."
