Former WBO super middleweight champion Robert Stieglitz returned to the ring - and the win column - Saturday evening at Hospuka Eden in Usti Nad Labem, Czech Republic. Headlining the gym show, Stieglitz advanced to 48-5-1 (28KOs) after his opponent, Robert Rosenberg (6-2) did not come out for the third round of their scheduled eight.
The fight was made at light heavyweight and was not announced by SES. This was Stieglitz's first fight since suffering a stoppage loss at the hands of longtime rival Arthur Abraham in July.
Promoting the show was Stieglitz´s former stablemate Lukas Konecny, who also supervised the event for the Czech Commission.
Also on the bill, fringe light heavyweight contender Robin Krasniqi (44-4) stopped Vaclac Polak (8-6-1), who retired after the first round. Krasniqi picked up his first win in nearly a year, fighting for the first time since he was stopped in nine rounds by reigning WBA light heavyweight titlist Jurgen Braehmer.
