Prichard Colon Plans To Campaign at Welterweight Limit

Undefeated Prichard Colon (9-0, 9 KO's), who is managed by powerful adviser Al Haymon, will return to the ring on June 19 in Bayamon. Colon plans to drop down a few pounds to campaign at the welterweight limit of 147-pounds. Colon is 21-years-old and six-feet tall.
"We are looking at campaigning at 147 pounds. The last fight was at 150 and I feel strong. God willing we will be at welterweight. I feel strong and I have good hands in that division. I'm young. To make 154 is very easy, but I think my body is not that of a natural 154-pounder and I realize that I can fight at 147. I will not sacrifice [to make the weight] and I will look for a welterweight world title," Colon said.
