Jahnsportforum, Neubrandenburg, Germany - Following his six round technical split decision win over Steve Cunningham, the new IBF cruiserweight champion Yoan Pablo Hernandez missed the post-fight press conference and went straight to hospital (picture) where he received four stitches for the cut on the left side of his head and five for the cut on above his right eye.

"The cuts were bleeding badly but I don´t care about them at all now. It just feels great to be the new champion," he said when returning to the team hotel.
