Super bantamweight prospect Orlandito Del Valle (16-1) has been training and fighting full bore the past 12 years of his amateur and professional career. In a recent conversation with BoxingScene.com, Del Valle said that he has been enjoying time with his family but has also made sure that he has stayed in shape.
"As for right now I am doing my road work to stay in shape and I'm spending the holidays with my family after several years of being out of Puerto Rico," Del Vale stated.
The 25-year-old suffered the first loss of his career in his last ring appearance which took place in September. The unanimous decision loss came at the hands of former champion Vic Darchinyan. Del Valle said that 2013 is going to be a big year for him and that he plans on getting back on the road to a title.
"We are definitely looking forward to 2013. Lou Dibella and DBE have done a great job with my career so far and I can't wait to get back in the winner's column for them and everyone that supports me," said Del Valle.
The Puerto Rican fighter hopes to return to the ring in February or March. He finished our conversation by wishing everyone a happy New Year.
"I want to thanks everyone for the great support and from the bottom of my heart a happy New Year full of joy and blessings."
