Junior welterweight prospect Dmitry Mikhailenko (9-0, 2 KOs), promoted by German Titov Boxing Promotions, collides with sensational debutant Alexey Glukhov (3-0, 1 KO) in the final bout of the of 2010 Supercup, organized by promoter Kira Plotnikova. Supercup was earlier known as the International Kostya Tszyu Cup. The fight will take place this Saturday in Nefteyugansk. Glukhov, who made his pro debut during the first stage of the Cup (May 2010), is best known for his win over world-ranked lightweight Dmitry Ganiev in the second stage of the competition; Ganiev suffered a leg injury early into the fight.

The undercard of Dmitry Pirog's (17-0, 14 KOs) anticipated defense against WBO #9 middleweight Argentinean Javier Francisco Maciel (18-1, 12 KOs) is slowly being filled in. Previously announced was a match-up between 2008 Beijing gold medalist Felix Diaz (8-0, 5 KOs) of the Dominican Republic and former titleholder Yuri Nuzhnenko (30-2-1, 14 KOs) of Brovary, Ukraine.
Also, underrated Czech heavyweight Ondrej Pala (28-2, 20 KOs) takes on Titov-promoted former Olympian Alexey Mazikin (16-5-2, 3 KOs) of Ukraine for the vacant WBO European title. Big (6'3'') Kazakh cruiserweight Issa Akberbayev (6-0, 3 KOs) fights Tanzanian Pascal Ndomba (9-2-2, 7 KOs) for a vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council 200lb belt. Uzbek master Alisher Rakhimov (21-0, 10 KOs) will put his WBC International lightweight title at risk against a yet undefined opponent. 2008 Beijing super heavyweight bronze medalist Vyacheslav Glazkov (8-0, 6 KOs) and another Dominican talent Leninn Castillo (3-0, 2 KOs) are expected to see action in the preliminary program. The show will be co-promoted by German Tivov, his chief partner Kirill Pchelnikov and Art Pelullo of Banner Promotions on March 26, in Ekaterinburg.

Another big show will take place on March 11 in Kemerovo, Russia. It's where the next Nikolay Valuev Cup will be staged. Several top Russian promoters will contribute, including Alexander Yagupov, German Titov and Kirill Pchelnikov. WBA #7, WBO #8 and IBF #14 light heavyweight Dmitry Sukhotskiy (16-1, 11 KOs) will participate in the main event, defending his minor belts against yet unknown opponent.
Vyacheslav Gusev (17-2, 4 KOs), who is known for his close (if dubious) loss to Juan Carlos Burgos, continues his comeback against ultra experienced Paraguayan journeyman Feliciano Dario Azuaga Ledesma (80-20-2, 65 KOs). Interestingly, the fight is deemed to be sanctioned for a vacant WBO European belt. Not surprisingly though, as Gusev has already fought for... the WBC CABOFE belt. Roman Simakov (14-1-1, 8 KOs) battles Kenyan Douglas Otieno (22-5, 11 KOs) for the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council 175lb belt, and rising prospect Max Limonov (14-0, 8 KOs) will test his skills against rock-solid professional loser Vasily Andriyanov (8-24, 1 KO), who has never been stopped in his career.
