Mayweather: Never Used an A Game or B Game To Win

By Carlos Arias

LAS VEGAS --- Marcos Maidana believes he can throw a ton of punches and use his aggressiveness to beat Floyd Mayweather when they meet on Saturday night at the MGM Grand on Showtime PPV.

"You got guys that's rugged and rough," Mayweather said. "The only thing with this guy is I want him to bring his best. Because if he brings his best, then he may be the first guy to make me actually dig into my bag of tricks and pull out my A game. So, hopefully, he make me pull out my A game. Because my whole career all I had to use was my D and C game to beat every guy. I never had to use an A game or a B game. We'll just have to see."

Many believe Maidana earned the shot at Mayweather with his victory over Adrien Broner in December.

"It's not just the Broner fight," Mayweather said. "I looked at his last four fights if I'm not mistaken. I'm not just judging him off of one fight. His last four fights he done a superb job, a good job and he's the guy that we chose. He's got an 80 percent knockout ratio, so I can't sleep on this guy."
