Magomed Abdusalamov Targets Seth Mitchell Showdown

Manager and promoter Boris Grinberg advised BoxingScene.com that undefeated heavyweight prospect Magomed Abdusalamov (14-0, 14KOs) is willing and ready to face top American contender Seth Mitchell (25-0, 19KOs) in the summer.

Mitchell's promoter, Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions, has mentioned veteran Michael Grant as a possible opponent for his boxer's next fight, but Grinberg doesn't agree with that selection. He feels HBO, and the boxing fans, would benefit from having two exicting, up and coming punchers go head to head on the network.

"We have to stop recycling the same fighters. It's time for the young blood to get their shot. I see nothing better than having two punchers, young Russian blood against young American blood, on HBO. Magomed is ready, willing and able to fight Seth Mitchell at any time on HBO. Golden Boy has a very good relationship with my partner Sampson Lewkowicz. All they have to do is call Sampson to make this fight happen," Grinberg said.
