Queensberry PromotionsKing Charles III visited the Bahamas Boxing Academy on Wednesday as part of his Caribbean tour, touring a facility that features a building named after British boxing promoter Frank Warren.
The academy was built by Nicholas Maughan CBE, co-founder of the boxing charity BoxWise, whose development board is chaired by Warren.
During his visit, the King met young people involved in the academy's boxing programs and was presented with a pair of boxing gloves to commemorate the occasion.
The monarch was also pictured leaving the Frank Warren Building, named in recognition of the veteran promoter's association with BoxWise.
BoxWise is also a charitable partner of Warren's promotional company, Queensberry Promotions.
The charity was established to provide opportunities for disadvantaged and vulnerable young people through boxing, with the aim of helping to tackle gang violence and knife crime.
BoxWise delivers 10-week programs across the United Kingdom, using the sport to provide structure, support and opportunities for young people who might otherwise struggle to access them.
Its programs are now delivered through England Boxing-affiliated gyms, schools and youth centers across the country.
