During a recent interview with talkSPORT, WBA junior welterweight champion Amir Khan revealed that he was ready to bet his entire purse in a private bet with IBF champion Zab Judah. The two champions are going to collide on July 23 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Last week, Judah challenged Khan to a side bet of $100,000 dollars, and stated that Amir wouldn't reach the twelve round bell. Khan shot back, throwing down a purse vs. purse showdown.
“That is one thing about him. He loves talking up a fight and he promotes it quite well. “He said he’s put a £100,000 bet on that I won’t last the 12 round distance with him, but I replied that I will put my whole purse on the line that I will beat him. After that he didn’t reply so I think he got the hint," Khan said.
“But that’s Zab Judah for you. At the press conference he was talking up a big fight but I will just let my fists do the talking. I’m just going to stay calm and focussed on my job.”
