The original plan for three-time world champion, Brian Viloria, was to have him appear on the undercard of Zou Shiming's attempt to wrest the IBF flyweight title from Amnat Ruenroeng, which is scheduled for March 7th at the Cotai Arena at the Venetian Resort in Macao.
But according to Viloria's long-time manager, Gary Gittelsohn - "It's uncertain at the moment, I spoke with (Top Rank's CEO) Bob Arum and Bob is trying to put together a rematch with Brian against (Juan Francisco) Estrada, a world title match on HBO Latino."
Estrada upset Viloria on April 6, 2013 to take both the WBO and WBA flyweight belts from 'the Hawaiian Punch' in Macao. The 24-year old Mexican has established himself as one of the most accomplished young boxers in the sport today.
"If that falls though, (Arum's) going to look to put it on the undercard of the Zou Shiming fight,"said Gittelsohn, who noted that if this rematch was bought by HBO Latino that,"it would be within ten days of that date (March 7th)."
According to Arum, who was reached later -"that fight would only be in the United States." And as for the television outlet, he confirmed that HBO Latino was a possibility "or an updated version of Univision, one or the other."
