Unbeaten middleweight Ievgen Khytrov will fight Kenneth McNeil on March 5, promoter Lou DiBella told BoxingScene.com Tuesday afternoon.
The scheduled 10 round bout will take place at the Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem, Penn. The Khrytov-McNeil bout will occur during the non-televised portion of the Showtime broadcast.
Khytrov (12-0, 11 KOs) has impressed those in boxing in a short period of time, mostly dominating modest opposition.
In his last bout on October 31, in his hometown of Kryvyi Rhi, in the Ukraine, Khytrov scored a spectacular one-punch second round knockout over Josh Luteran.
Khytrov also has knockout wins over Willie Fortune, Louis Rose, Jorge Melendez, and Nick Brinson. Aaron Coley has been the only fighter who has gone the distance against the Brooklyn, N.Y. resident.
McNeil (9-1, 6 KOs) has won his last six fights in a row, the last five by knockout. The Birmingham, Alabama resident stopped Taronze Washington in the third round of his last bout on September 26 of last year.
