Goodwin Boxing will provide the undercard to one of the most eagerly-anticipated fights of the New Year.
The Steve Goodwin-fronted outfit, based in Leighton Buzzard, have been appointed by Hayemaker Promotions to advise those involved regarding the undercard to David Haye’s comeback.
Haye (26-2, 24 KOs), who has been out of the ring since July, 2012, returns to the heavyweight fray on January 16 at London’s O2 Arena when he comes up against Australia’s Mark de Mori (30-1-2, 26 KOs).
And Goodwin, alongside matchmaker Kevin Campion, will help to shape up the undercard to the main event, which we already know will feature former British super middleweight champion Tony Dodson.
"We would like to thank David and his team for showing faith in us and are delighted to have been able to reach this agreement with David [to be able to shape the undercard],” said Goodwin.
“This represents an amazing opportunity for some of our boxers. We hope to work with David on an ongoing basis as he aims to reach the pinnacle of the heavyweight scene once again."
It is believed that a host of Goodwin-promoted fighters, including Wadi Camacho (13-5, 8 KOs) and Josh Kennedy (4-0, 4 KOs), as well as former IBF world featherweight champion Billy Dib (39-4, 23 KOs), will be added to the bill in due course.
