Even though Martin Castillo will not be the opponent, former two division champ Eric Morel is ready for anything. Castillo suffered an ankle injury in training was replaced was replaced by Luis Maldonado for this Friday's bout. Morel sees no problems in getting the win and then he wants a piece of WBC/WBO champ Nonito Donaire.
"We are prepared for everyone. I'm not going to lose any sleep. I feel very strong. I'm 100% and I want to Donaire" Morel said. "I'd like that fight. There is a lot more at stake to win since he has two world titles. It would be a great fight for me and the public. I know that my style is going to be very complicated for him. It's going to be a very interesting fight."
After Friday's fight, Morel returns to action in June and then he wants a shot at the title. If he can't get Donaire, he'll fight anyone with a major belt - including one of the champs at super bantam.
"I'll fight with any of the champions but if I see something at 122 pounds - I would consider it. This is about business. I'm fine at 118 but if there is something at super bantamweight, why not," Morel said.
