Eddie Mustafa Muhammad, trainer of former beltholder Chad Dawson, views the upcoming light heavyweight battle between Adonis Stevenson and Tavoris Cloud (24-1, 19KOs) as a "50-50" fight.
Stevenson (21-1, 18KOs) captured the WBC title in June with a first round stoppage of Dawson. Cloud, who held the IBF belt, lost his crown to Bernard Hopkins in March.
Both fighters have heavy hands and Muhammad predicts the winner is going to be the boxer who lands the first clean blow to the chin.
The match is being targeted for September 28th at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. HBO will televise.
"It's a good fight because that's a fight where whoever gets hit is going to sleep. They both can punch. It also depends on conditioning. They are both punchers, they can hit, but it also depends on their condition. With Cloud and Stevenson, whoever gets to land [the first big shot] can win the fight," Muhammad told BoxingScene.com.
