A month before his fight with the WBO 115-pound champion Omar Narvaez, Puerto Rico's Cesar "Junito" Seda is only at 75% to get in the best condition possible, as noted by his father and coach of the same name. Seda has had 60 rounds of sparring and plans to have 100 more rounds.
"There have been two twelve round sparring sessions and he's had an average of 60 rounds and still has about 100 left. He will arrive 150% to bring the title to Puerto Rico," said the coach.
The fight will be held in Argentina and Seda is well aware that it will be difficult to win by judges decision.
"We will try to win fairly abroad and if we can knock him out, we knock him out. But let's try to win the rounds large enough so we don't leave that headache to the judges who we are told will be neutral."
Meanwhile, Seda Jr. said he is already looking forward to the fight and realizing his dream as a boy by fighting Narvaez for the world title.
"We were waiting for this day. I'm very ready and training hard. I was eager to fight for a title and we are just around the corner. I have to thank Gary Shaw and Javier Bustillo. Narvaez is in charge because it's his house but I'll settle it in the ring. I'm going to put on the pressure and hope that it doesn't reach a decision. I'm sure we're going to knock him out," Seda said.
