WBO super middleweight champion Arthur Abraham is backing Wladimir Klitschko all the way to defeat Tyson Fury in their expected rematch in the next few months.
Fury had what many insiders awarded as the '2015 Upset of The Year' last November when he boxed to a twelve round unanimous decision to capture Wladimir's IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight world titles in Dusseldorf, Germany. Few few experts were picking Fury to win.
Abraham is still very surprised that Wladimir was unable to get the win, but he expects him to win the rematch. He says Fury is not good enough to beat fighters on Klitschko's level and must have caught the Ukrainian fighter on a bad night. It was the first loss for Klitschko in over a decade.
"I was shocked by the fact that Klitschko lost," Abraham said. "Because the Briton is not good enough to beat these types of boxers. Klitschko - this is a different caliber of fighter. But apparently that day was bad for him, and he couldn't get it together, so Wladimir lost. But I think Klitschko will win the rematch. Wladimir will examine the mistakes that he made and take them into account."
Klitschko's biggest flaw in the fight was his lack of activity. Some of the rounds were practically given away when Klitschko wouldn't let his hands go. It wasn't until the last few rounds when the former champ began to get more active and started putting his combinations together. Klitschko has promised to be more active and more aggressive in the rematch, and plans to execute this strategy from the very start of the fight until the final bell.
