Lightweight Art Hovhannisyan will fight Miguel Zuniga in a scheduled eight round bout this Saturday night, manager and advisor George Bastrmajyan told on Sunday evening.

The bout will take place at the Hollywood Park Casino in Inglewood, CA.

The bout will be one of three boxing bouts that will mostly feature mixed martial arts.

The Armenian-born Hovhannisyan (16-1-2, 9 KOs) has not fought since stopping Daniel Attah in the sixth round on August 16th at the Chumash Casino Resort in Santa Ynez, CA.

Prior to that bout, Hovhannisyan suffered the first loss of his career on February 22 of last year, dropping a 10 round unanimous decision to Alejandro Perez.

Hovhannisyan, who resides in the Los Angeles suburb of Glendale, also holds victories over former world title holder Miguel Acosta and prospect Archie Ray Marquez.

Zuniga (12-4, 7 KOs) has lost his last three fights in a row. In his last fight on November 22nd, Zuniga dropped a six round unanimous decision to Jose Roman in Ontario, CA.

Also on the card will be the pro debut of Russian cruiserweight Alexi Zubov. He will fight Ritchie Cherry (3-7, 1 KO) in a scheduled four round bout.

Light heavyweight Vyacheslav Shabranskyy (7-0, 6 KOs) of the Ukraine could also appear on the card. He currently lives and trains in the Los Angeles area.
