Former WBA cruiserweight champion Firat Arslan (32-5-2, 21KOs) has promised to do everything in his power to prevent the possibility of a fight between Marco Huck and IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko.
This Saturday in at the Gerry Weber Stadium in Germany, Arslan will challenge Huck for the WBO title. Huck has already started campaigning for a fight with Wladimir. But Huck's push for Klitschko has only motivated Arslan even further.
"I have been involved in boxing for 24 years and I'm not afraid [of Huck]. I'm confident that I'll win and I hope for fair judging. I've heard that supposedly there is interest in a fight between Klitschko with Huck. This information only increases my motivation and I will do everything possible to make sure this fight this never takes place. I think that kind of talk can only distract Marco [from our fight]," Arslan said.
