Chris Arreola and trainer Henry Ramirez have been dropping verbal bombs on college football player turned Heavyweight boxer Seth Mitchell even before a fight between them was contracted. Now that both fighters will face off this Saturday night live on Showtime, nothing has changed as only this time the verbal thrashings were done in person.

“So he's said every time I've stepped up I've lost a fight. You're not a step up, I'm stepping down to you bro. Seth, you're way the f*** down here. [Bermane] Stiverne is up here. Tomasz Adamek is up here. [Vitali] Klitschko is way up here. You're down here bro, I'm not stepping up to you. You're a step down, remember that!” Arreola would say to Mitchell as he took the podium at their press conference Wednesday afternoon.

Mitchell is a former middle line backer at Michigan State University and picked up the sport of boxing after graduating college. Arreola believes he’s far too skilled and been doing this too long to let a guy who just picked up the sport a few years ago come in and beat him.

“I'm a boxer. I've been boxing since I was 7 years old. I didn't just start boxing because I couldn't cut it in the NFL or in f***ing football. I'm a boxer.  I've been boxing my whole life. I'm going to prove it to you [Seth]. I’m [ going to] show you something on Saturday. I'm going to prove that you don't belong in this sport. Go make a mockery of something else like MM Gay. And I've said it, if this man here beats me, I will honestly consider retirement because there is no way this guy should beat me” said a fired up Arreola to Mitchell.

There is definitely animosity between both combatants and both have promised to end things before anyone hears the bell for the 12th and final round. For Arreola who is coming off a loss, this fight is a must win fight and the same applies to Mitchell who is trying to prove he belongs at the top of the division.

Arreola was not at a loss for words and promised Mitchell that he would not only beat him but make him regret ever taking this fight in the first place.

“He's going to regret he took me as a fight. He's going to regret it, I promise you. I'm going to make you fight every second, every minute of every round. You f***ed up by trying to fight me.”

The war of words will soon turn into a war of fists come this Saturday night.
