An extended period of negotiating between Martin Waas and Rogelio Velez of Veloz Boxing and Ahmet Öner of Arena Box reached a resolution satisfying all parties. The end result is Arena Box picking up a pair of undefeated prospects, Hairon "El Maja" Socarras and Neslan "Pitbull" Machado.

A deal was reached Thursday afternoon.

Socarras (14-0-1, 10KOs) has climbed the ranks through four years as a professional. The 22-year old from Cuba—who now lives in trains in Miami, Florida—is the #16-ranked WBC junior featherweight contender and is due to return to the ring in April.

That same show in April will also feature Machado (9-0, 7KOs), the stud 18-year old blue-chip prospect and Socarras' stablemate. The undefeated featherweight is coming off of a six-round decision win this past February in Tampa, Florida.

Öner is anxious to showcase the two talented boxers as often as possible, building them up into top contenders. The blueprint calls for Socarras and Machado to serve as the face(s) of Cuban boxing in the pro ranks within the next 2-3 years.
