Promoter Fernando Beltran of Zanfer Promotions is planning to stage a big event on March 9th in Guadalajara, Mexico. Beltran wants to finalize a featured battle of former champions for the WBC silver flyweight title. Mexican veterans Edgar Sosa (47-7, 28KOs) and Ulises "Archie" Solis (35-2-3, 22KOs).

This would be the third meeting between the two boxers. They met twice in the past, when they were both young. In 2001, a 6-0 Solis won a split decision over a 5-0 Sosa, and then in 2003 they had a rematch and a 14-0 Solis won a majority decision over a 12-4 Sosa.

Sosa is very interested in a lucrative opportunity to get revenge, but there is also an offer on the table to go to Japan to fight WBC champion Toshiyuki Igarashi.

This fight is has potential fight of the year candidate. Its about time for a trilogy, i remember they were both champions for awhile in light flyweight and they couldnt agree to fight each other but then they lost their titles in 2009 against filipinos. I hope it gets finalized :boxing:
