Arce Wants To Avenge Mexico With Donaire, Eyes Mares

Former four division champion Jorge "Travieso" Arce (60-6-2, 46KOs) is training hard in his native Los Mochis, where the veteran is preparing for the scheduled fight on September 22 against Panamanian Mauricio Martinez.
After Martinez, Arce wants to fight the winner of October clash between Nonito Donaire and Toshiaki Nishioka. After that, he wants to challenge Abner Mares for the WBC super bantamweight championship.
"I have outlined my strategy very well. Hopefully we'll beat the Panamanian, and then go against the winner of Nonito Donaire and Japan's Toshiaki Nishioka, and then I would add another big win to my record - beating Abner Mares, and snatching the World Boxing Council super bantamweight championship. "
"Donaire attracts me more. I would rather face him than Nishioka, because Nonito has beaten several Mexicans, so I desire that fight. Then I want to go against Abner Mares. That fight that can be done because it's interesting. Everyone would like to see us fight."
Rematch Rojas, Arce. Until you do, I just can't take you serious anymore.Comment by AddiX on 09-06-2012
How is Arce still fighting at such a high level? Anyone who saw him fight darchinyan noticed his legs are completely gone. He could barely stand. I was scared for him the way his legs shook. I don't get it,…Comment by Ringlife on 09-06-2012
I want to see Arce vs Vazquez Jr rematch.Comment by Carlos Alberto on 09-06-2012
Arce was past his prime about 5-6 years ago and then about 2 years ago he's not. Seems kind of fishy to me. Can we get VADA to test this guy?!Comment by PinoyNation on 09-06-2012
Arce should be careful what he wishes for. Donaire is the new Mexicutioner and would destroy him.Post a Comment - View More User Comments (27)
