Arce vs Vazquez a Draw at The Time of The Stoppage

MGM Grand, Las Vegas - Former champion Jorge Arce continued Mexico's run over Puerto Rico, when he recovered from a fourth round knockdown and came back to stop previously undefeated Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. in the twelfth round to capture the WBO super bantamweight title.
At the time of the stoppage, most ringside media had Vazquez ahead on points. Not the official judges. Two judges had the fight scored a 104-104 draw, while a third had Arce ahead by five points - 107-102.
Arce is a true pro and knew it was close coming inot the last two round even said ti himself. He finished strong and WV2 had nothing much left, both phsyically and mentally. Although in the replay he wasn't getting…Comment by Eladio-Mor on 05-08-2011

I give WV2 credit..the kid had no amateur background and stepped in the ring with a seasoned veteran..he sti has much to learn but has a bright future ahead of him. He'll learn from this loss and become a Champion…Comment by Carlos Alberto on 05-08-2011
