Arce vs Nongqayi Rematch in The Works For 12/19

By Mark Vester

According to former champion Jorge Arce, a rematch is being planned with unbeaten IBF super flyweight champion Simphiwe Nongqayi on December 19 in Toluca, Mexico. Nongqayi easily won a twelve round decision over Arce back in September in Mexico. The win allowed him to capture the vacant IBF title. Nongqayi also beat Arce's brother Francisco in February.

Arce is already training at Mexico's famous Romanza Gym, working alongside his trainer Nacho Beristain. The fight is do or die for Arce if he wants to remain as a major player at the weight.

smh, Arce doesn't need anymore punishment. Been through so many wars, he's still young but he needs to either hang it up or take a little break. Nongqayi just gave a complete drubbing last time out and I don't see…
