Arce on Donaire Fight: It Will Be Bloody, It Will Be Hard!

By Salvador Rodriguez

Former champion Jorge 'Travieso' Arce (61-6-2, 46KOs) is promising to shock the sport on December 15 in Houston, when he challenges WBO super bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire in an HBO televised main event at Toyota Center. Arce plans to be in the best possible shape of his career.

"I will get to this fight at 200% in every sense. Nonito will not be able to handle my pace. I will regard this fight as the most important of my career. I've had other challenges, and I passed them when nobody believed in me - and against Nonito you will see the best 'Travieso' that you have ever seen before...more strong and explosive," Arce declared.

"This fight, we've been trying to get it for the past four years and I am sure that the wait will be worth it because it is going to be bloody, it is going to be hard, it is going to be complicated. This will be an exciting fight."
