Arce-Nongqayi, Martinez-Guerrero in Play For 9/24

By Miguel Rivera

Zanfer Promotions is considering a doubleheader for September 24th in Mexicali, with Jorge Arce (57-6-2, 44KOs) defending his WBO super bantamweight title in the main event against Simphiwe Nongqayi (16-1-1, 6KOs) in a rematch. The African boxer won a twelve round decision over Arce in 2009 at super flyweight. The co-feature would be the bout for the vacant IBF super flyweight title between Raul Martinez (28-1, 16KOs) and Rodrigo Guerrero (15-3-1, 10KOs), which is also a rematch. Martinez won a close split decision over Guerrero last year.
