Arce Confident, Feels That He Will Knock Donaire Out

Former four division world champion Jorge Arce (61-6-2, 46KOs) is very confident that he can achieve a major upset by beating, and even knocking out, WBO super bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire (30-1, 19KOs) on December 15th at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. HBO will televise the contest.
Arce admits "it is true, Donaire hits hard" - but he plans to "keep pressure on him and make him submit, and I am sure that I will knock him out."
The Mexican veteran realizes that the odds are stacked against him, but he doesn't care. In fact he actually prefers to be the underdog.
"I fight better, with more confidence and with more desire when I'm the underdog. And on this occasion it will be no different. And with [trainer Nacho Beristain] in my corner, I will be even more confident because it is the best corner that I can possibly have," Arce said.
Arce KOed Vazquez now he thinks he can do the same to Donaire. I guess he's forgetting how he pussied out of that Rojas fight. Posted from Boxingscene.com App for AndroidComment by PD21 on 11-07-2012

Should be an entertaining fight. I hope Arce got a decent paycheck for the beat down that's coming.Comment by IronDanHamza on 11-06-2012
