Antonio DeMarco Gets Late Sub, Lanardo Tyner In
By Rafael Soto
Former world champion Antonio DeMarco, trained by Freddie Roach, will get a new opponent when he returns to action in Tecate, Baja California. He was set face Colombian Orlen Padilla (20-5-1, 18KOs), but now DeMarco (30-3-1, 23 KOs) will get an even stiffer test when he takes on the always dangerous Lanardo Tyner (31-10-2, 20KOs) in a ten round battle, which is now taking place at the welterweight limit as the TV Azteca televised main event. Earlier this year, Tyner came very close to upsetting Mayweather Promotions' prospect Chris Pearson and then traveled to Poland where he nearly upset rising contender Lukasz Maciec.
Actually not that bad. He's the one who gave Pearson hellComment by Tyler_Durden on 08-21-2014
I wonder what happened to the other guy? I hope everything goes well for DeMarco and I hope he wins the fight by knockout and without getting any injuries.Comment by IIG on 08-21-2014
If I'm not mistaken Tyner is sparring and running with Floyd right now for the Maidana fight. He ought to be ready for the challenge.Comment by any craic lad? on 08-21-2014
