Former world champion Antonio DeMarco, trained by Freddie Roach, will get a new opponent when he returns to action in Tecate, Baja California. He was set face Colombian Orlen Padilla (20-5-1, 18KOs), but now DeMarco (30-3-1, 23 KOs) will get an even stiffer test when he takes on the always dangerous Lanardo Tyner (31-10-2, 20KOs) in a ten round battle, which is now taking place at the welterweight limit as the TV Azteca televised main event. Earlier this year, Tyner came very close to upsetting Mayweather Promotions' prospect Chris Pearson and then traveled to Poland where he nearly upset rising contender Lukasz Maciec.
