| Antonio DeMarco To Defend Title in Mid-March in Mexico

By Miguel Rivera WBC lightweight champion Antonio DeMarco (26-2-1, 19KOs) is going to return in the month of March in Mexico. Baja Boxing, run by Antonio Lozada, will help promoter Gary Shaw by pushing DeMarco in Mexico. The champion is going to make his first defense of the title in mid-March in Los Mochis. The exact date, opponent and venue has not been set, but Televisa will carry the fight. In December, the WBC granted DeMarco the opportunity to make a voluntary defense, but then he has to finalize an ordered rematch with Jorge Linares. Tags: Antonio DeMarco  |
