Anthony Mundine To Make His American Debut in March?
By Edward Chaykovsky
WBA interim-junior middleweight champion Anthony Mundine (43-4, 25KOs) expects to make his American debut in the month of March. Mundine had a good 2011, going 3-0, 1KO. A contract was signed with American manager Cameron Dunkin and Mundine wants the big fights in 2012.
"I now have a verbal contract to fight in the US and my next fight should be in the States in March," Mundine told The Mercury.
Some of the options for Mundine include Miguel Cotto, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Antonio Margarito.

Great news for Mundine fans, but with Chavez jr fighting Rubio on Feb 4 on Cotto hoping for a Pacman rematch it's looking like Margarito and possibly Chavez jr mid-year. The middleweight division is a bit stagnant at the moment…Comment by keelaybrown on 01-25-2012
finally thought he would be retired by then, lets see if he uses any of his talentComment by RuMbLe on 01-25-2012
haha, it's good he signed a contract w/ Dunkin, he manages some TR fighters, but Mundine ain't fighting any of those guys mentioned. Love for him to fight the manster Margarito, we'd find out pretty quickly what "the man" is…Post a Comment - View More User Comments (5)
