2012 Olympic gold medal winner Anthony Joshua (13-0, 13KOs) is ready to fast-track his way to world title shot.

Joshua has already set his sights on WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder (33-0, 32KOs).

Last weekend Joshua blew out durable veteran Kevin Johnson in two rounds. He plans to return on July 18th and then again on September 12. Wilder is defending his title next week in Alabama against heavy underdog Eric Molina. Next up for Wilder would be a mandatory defense against Alexander Povetkin of Russia.

Joshua could see a Wilder fight taking place before a domestic blockbuster with Tyson Fury or David Haye.

“Deontay Wilder is a world champion. He hasn’t got that much experience but he has raw power which has led him to become world champion,” Joshua told Hawksbee and Jacobs.

“He’s going to look at the up-and-coming fighters that are doing well. That’s why I think I’ll get a shot at the heavyweight championship sooner, rather than later. It could happen before a fight against David Haye. It’s possible I could bring Haye out of retirement. It would be a great match up. When the time is right and I’ve got the right experience, it will be a mega fight. It would be bigger than me versus Tyson Fury.”
