Anthony Jevons Jumps on The Coldwell Boxing Train

Coldwell Boxing added another bright prospect to their expanding stable today by securing the signature of talented Liverpool youngster, Anthony Jevons. The former Golden Gloves ABC star, who won a cluster of amateur titles whilst sporting the black vest of the famous Liverpool club, resisted calls to concentrate on next year’s ABA’s and will now be punching for pounds. Dave Coldwell expects big things for his latest signing.

“Anthony is a talented young man and I’m certain that with the right guidance he can have a good future,” spoke Coldwell. “Liverpool’s reputation as a city for producing excellent boxers is well known and Anthony has all the skills to become the city’s newest star. He’s sacrificed the opportunity to compete for more amateur honours and I’m happy he’s done that because he definitely has the style which is more suited to the professional side of boxing.

Dave Tonks, who will be training the exciting 21 year old super-featherweight, is also excited by his latest recruit’s potential. “I’ve known “Jevvo” since he was ten years old and I know for a fact he’s hungry for success. He’s got a ready-made style for the pro game and I can’t wait to get him in the gym so we can start working on all the ideas I’ve got planned for him. He’s got a solid team behind him and if we get him on the right path then there’s no reason we can’t be knocking on the doors of champions a couple of years down the line.”
